This post is inspired by myself when I was blogging, doing searching in google, and make a conclusion about how to optimize your blog’s SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Because without good SEO your blog will just be as useless as thrash. And in this posting I want to share with you all how to increase your SEO:
1. Make your own good high quality posting/content
Make a posting which should not be frequently or rarely appears on other people’s blog or websites. Even you are newbie, not pro enough, DO NOT copy paste other people’s blog.Try to think of new ideas for your posting, because Google hates copy paste blogs. But you can use other people’s posting as an inspiration to make your own posting.
Try to make posting regularly, minimum of once a week, if possible then make a continuous article so your visitors will keep coming back to see your blog.
2. Give something “FREE” for your visitors
Something like MP3, ring tone, video, software, e-books, PDF data, or something which is free will make your visitor feel happy, and not just by looking an empty space in your blog. Try to give something legal not illegal, and you should not try to upload it in paying sites to download like ziddu or rapidshare because it may make the connection slow, and your visitors may not like the complex download rules. You may upload your file onto www.mediafire.com or www.4shared.com.
3.Using unique Theme/Template.
Theme/template that is not too long to wait when loading, background color and words color that is balanced, navigation menus that is clear and easy to reach, not too much advertisements in the middle of articles (because it will surely disturb your reader when you put too much advertisement).
4. Exchange Link with other Blogger.
This tips is effective if we exchange links with other blogger that has the same theme with our blog, especially high Page-Rank blog. I also often see bloggers who also exchange banner.
5. Combine your blog with social bookmarking or networking.
To network your blog in social networking or available bookmarking, like mybloglog, digg.com, facebook.com, friendster.com, etc; promote your blog in there. We can make communities for your blog in there
6. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Because around 70%-80% of our visitors come from Search Engine, especially google, if our blog is in the first page as our keyword that we put then it is sure that visitors will come every day, more and more will come.
